2019 MITSUBISHI MIRAGE G4 ES VIN ML32F3FJ3KHF13083

This Mitsubishi Mirage G4 ES was built in 2019. The car runs on petrol. There is an automatic gearbox, with front-wheel drive.

At the time of recording, the car had covered 115,976 miles. The figure is in miles and needs converting before it is compared with kilometres: one mile is about 1.6 km. The mileage is high for the car’s age, so the suspension, brakes, seats and steering wheel deserve a close look. A single figure proves little: what makes a mileage believable is a series of readings that rise steadily over the years.

Primary damage in the record: rear end. Whether the damage has been repaired since, and how well, is not something a damage entry can show. Whatever the cause, a diagnostic scan of the car’s electronics shows fault codes that a visual check misses.

The record notes that the car ran and drove. A key was noted with the car.

The car carries a clean title. Nothing on the title points to a total loss or a flood.

Behind every used car lies a string of events: who owned it and for how long, what the inspections found and which repairs and claims were made. A clean, polished car can still hide a serious accident, a flood or years of hard use.

On a petrol engine, a rough idle, misfires or a warning light on the dashboard need looking into. The automatic gearbox needs its fluid changed at the manufacturer’s intervals, and invoices should show that it was.

A VIN never contains the letters I, O or Q, which could be mistaken for digits; its 17 characters identify the maker, the model and the individual car. The record gives the VIN as ML32F3FJ3KHF13083. A VIN that differs between the documents and the car, or shows signs of tampering, is reason enough to walk away.

What a history report can list depends on what has been documented about the car: registrations, mileage readings, damage, branded titles and theft reports. A VIN check and a physical inspection answer different questions: the first says what happened to the car, the second what condition it is in now. Before going any further with this Mitsubishi Mirage G4 ES, it makes sense to look up VIN ML32F3FJ3KHF13083.
